The State Government is highly encouraged by the recent macro-economic data from the Central Statistical Organisation. In 2013-14, while India's GDP grew by 4.7%, ours grew at 8.62 %. In the case of Industry, while India grew by 0.4%, West Bengal grew by 8.74%. Same holds true for Agriculture and Service Sectors. Riding on these positive indicators, our Government has been actively engaged in taking initiatives for the Industrial Development of the state.
